About a year into blogging, I started contributing as a Guest Blogger on BuildDirect, an online supplier of home improvement products. I believed that they were competitive with their pricing, but even more so they had a great connection with their consumers through social media. Additionally the BuildDirect blog, which I was a contributor for, provided fresh, creative, and innovative ideas to homeowners and consumers. From tips on how to spray paint, to projects using pallets, to mudroom storage solutions, I shared creative ideas for decorating and designing a home.
Even though Ive decided to focus more on my own blog and business as of late, I still feel that BuildDirect is a front runner in the home improvement service industry because they communicate quickly, kindly, and directly with consumers. When a homeowner/customer needs/wants an answer right away, they dont want to be stressed over the task. They want the answer so they can move on to the next thing. BuildDirect is in constant communication with their audience via social media, and thats what makes them on the top of the market.
If youve been following my blog for a while, you know my design style is classic with a modern twist = classic eclectic. I like incorporating classic elements but in an unexpected, eye-catching way. Items throughout the home that are more expensive and/or have to live for a long time, I think should be a bit more safer, timeless, classic elements. From a sofa in a living room to flooring in a mudroom, elements that will remain the length of time should be more understated, which then dynamic elements can be layered upon.

Their site offers an array of products for flooring, decking, siding + roofing, landscape, outdoor living, and kitchen + bath. One of my favorite sections of the site is their outdoor furniture. Check out this gorgeous green beauty I know its not warm right now, but this is something to surely keep in mind for next year!
